How to make Singapore Sling Cocktail
-
Mix the cocktail
Gradually add the following ingredients into a Highball glass: a few ice cubes, 30ml of Gin, 15ml of Cherry Liqueur, 7.5ml of Cointreau, 7.5ml of Bénédictine, 10ml of Grenadine, 120ml of pineapple juice, 15ml of lemon juice, and 10 drops of Angostura Bitters.
Pour the ingredients into a shaker, use the Highball glass to tightly cover the shaker, and shake well in a curved motion for 10 – 18 seconds.
Tip:- You should add an appropriate amount of ice to the glass, typically the standard amount of ice should occupy about 2/3 of the glass’s volume, because if there is too little ice, it will melt completely when shaking, causing the drink to become diluted and losing the original flavor of the cocktail.
- When shaking, hold the shaker firmly with one hand and shake in a certain curved trajectory, do not shake in a straight line.
- The shaking speed should be fast and rhythmic, the standard shaking time is from 10 – 18 seconds or until frost appears on the surface of the shaker.
-
Completion
You add ice to the Hurricane glass and then pour the mixed cocktail into it (make sure to strain out the ice from the shaker), then decorate the glass with a slice of pineapple attached to a cherry to finish. The Singapore Sling cocktail is ready to be enjoyed!
