How to choose fresh shrimp
- Fresh shrimp have a clear outer shell and still have a slight smell of seawater, not fishy; do not buy shrimp with dark spots or inconsistent colors.
- Fresh shrimp usually have their tails curled together; if the tails are spread out, the shrimp have likely been injected with chemicals or water to make them plump.
- Fresh shrimp typically have tightly attached legs; if you see the legs turning black or not firmly attached to the body, do not buy them as they are no longer fresh.

How to choose fresh and delicious pineapple
- Delicious ripe pineapples usually have an eye-catching yellow color, sometimes with some green spots. These are the fruits that are ripe and have reached a certain level of sweetness.
- It is recommended to choose pineapples that are slightly round and short because these will have more flesh compared to the long ones.
- Choose pineapples with larger eyes if possible. These are older fruits, naturally ripe, and not artificially ripened.
- If the pineapple is just ripe, you will feel a moderate softness when you touch it. The skin of a ripe pineapple usually has slight wrinkles.
- Do not buy pineapples with a deep yellow color as these are often overripe and the inside is likely to be spoiled.
