How to choose fresh ingredients
How to choose fresh pork
- You should choose dry pork pieces with a natural pink-red color, the meat fibers are evenly arranged and have good elasticity when touched.
- You should choose meat with a dry surface, with a natural meat smell, and it’s better to choose meat that has both lean and fatty parts.
- You should not buy pork pieces with a dark red color, bruises, or meat that is not firm to the touch as these may be from sick pigs or have been slaughtered for a long time.
- Absolutely do not buy meat with unusual odors, or with lumps on the meat fibers as these are often from pigs infected with parasites.
How to choose fresh cucumbers
- You should choose cucumbers that are long and slender, with a naturally bright green color, without any dark spots or yellowing on the skin.
- Additionally, fresh cucumbers are those that feel firm in hand, with a fresh stem, and the tail still has the flower bud intact.
- Avoid buying cucumbers that are light yellow or too dark green as they are often spoiled or treated with pesticides.
How to choose fresh and delicious onions
- You should choose onions with thin, shiny, uniform-colored skin that feel dry and firm to the touch.
- Choose bulbs with long roots and skin that is not peeling off but tightly attached to the onion body, as these are fresh onions.
- Avoid buying bulbs that have sprouted, feel soft to the touch, or have uneven colors, as these are not fresh onions and may taste bitter when eaten.
