How to make a Grasshopper Cocktail
-
Shake the cocktail in a shaker
Gradually add to the shaker the ingredients including: a little ice (about 2/3 of the shaker’s volume), 30ml Brown Creme de Cacao, 30ml Creme de Menthe. Then hold the shaker firmly and shake up and down in a curve for 10 – 18 seconds.
Tip:- You should add an appropriate amount of ice to the shaker, the reasonable amount of ice usually occupies about 2/3 of the shaker’s volume; if there is too little ice, it will melt completely during shaking, causing the drink to become diluted and lose the flavor of the cocktail.
- When shaking, you should hold the shaker firmly and shake it in a specific trajectory; generally, you should shake in a curve, not in a straight line.
- The shaking speed should be fast; the standard shaking time is from 10 – 18 seconds or until a cold frost appears on the surface of the shaker.
After shaking, add 30ml of cream half and half, then stir well for about 10 seconds.
-
Finish
Strain out the ice and pour the cocktail into a Martini glass, garnish with a sprig of mint to complete.
-
