How to choose fresh ripe mangoes
- Good mangoes have a uniform yellow skin, smooth surface, without any roughness or tiny blemishes on the surface.
- When pressed, they should feel firm, not mushy, and the stem should still be hard, not broken off or separated from the body.
- A pure, light fragrance indicates naturally ripe mangoes; in contrast, if there is a strong chemical smell, it should definitely be avoided.
