Ingredients for Fruit Cream For 1 person
Red-fleshed dragon fruit 100 gr (or other fruits as desired) Chicken egg 1 piece Unsweetened fresh milk 50 ml Whipping cream 40 ml Corn starch 1 teaspoon (or tapioca starch) Palm sugar 1 teaspoon
Notes on choosing ingredients
- For children under 12 months old, do not use sugar in this recipe.
- Use organic corn starch and formula milk for babies who are starting to eat solids from 6 months and older.
- Whipping cream is for children over 1 year old to increase creaminess, however, do not use too much whipping cream as children’s digestive systems are still weak. For children under 1 year, replace it with unsalted cheese to enhance the creaminess instead of whipping cream.
- Children over 1 year old can have 2 meals a day of solid food, and older children can have additional snacks.
How to Make Fruit Cream
-
Mix the egg milk mixture
Warm 50ml of unsweetened fresh milk, then add it to the egg yolk and cornstarch mixture above and whisk well.
Next, add 40ml of whipping cream and mix thoroughly.
Then, add 1 teaspoon of coconut sugar and mix the mixture until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Note: For children under 1 year old:
– Do not use sugar in the recipe
– Additionally, replace whipping cream with low-salt cheese to create the creaminess for this fruit cream dish!
-
Mix dragon fruit mixture
Use a sieve to separate about 100g of red-fleshed dragon fruit juice (You can replace it with other fruits according to your preference).
After squeezing, you will obtain about 30ml of dragon fruit juice. Then, add all of this juice to the beaten egg milk mixture above and mix well.
Tip: You can adjust the ratio of unsweetened fresh milk, whipping cream, and fruit juice to create different flavored fruit creams:
- If you want a rich cream, increase the amount of whipping cream.
- If you want a low-fat cream, use more unsweetened fresh milk.
- For children under 1 year old, completely replace unsweetened fresh milk and whipping cream with formula milk (you can add a little low-salt cheese to enhance the creaminess).
-
Cooking the cream
Place a pan on the stove and add the cream mixture, cooking for about 5 minutes, until the mixture thickens slightly.
Note: Cook the cream on low heat and stir continuously throughout the cooking process! When the cream is cooked, turn off the heat, wait for it to cool, and get ready for the kids to enjoy!
-
Final product
The final product is a jar of smooth, thick cream, with the rich flavor of milk and the sweet aroma of fruit. Ensure the kids will love it!
