- Alternatively, you can briefly blanch the squid in boiling tea water or hot water.
- The simplest way to remove the fishy smell is to use one of the types of lemon juice, vinegar, or white wine to wash the squid, then rinse it with clean water.
Chives and cilantro should be cleaned of any bad leaves, roots removed, washed thoroughly, and chopped finely. Garlic should be peeled and minced.
